Welcome to The Healthy Weight Project!

Healthy Weight is a research study designed to encourage healthy habits and attitudes in young women. The project is conducted at the Oregon Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Eric Stice. If you are eligible and you decide to participate, you will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The first group involves participating in a 1 hour meeting once a week for 4 weeks. The other group will receive an educational brochure in the mail.

All participants, regardless of which group they are in, will receive $180 for completing five assessments. Each assessment consists of an interview and short survey. At three of the assessments you will be asked to complete a body composition assessment in the Bod Pod. In addition, some randomly selected participants will be asked to participate in the Healthy Weight SubStudy.
