Categories: Press Releases
After many years as a Senior Scientist at ORI, Sarah Hampson is retiring from her research career and has been named Scientist Emerita at ORI. Sarah became a scientist at ORI in 1987. In her 32 years as a scientist at ORI, Sarah has made a major impact in the field of research on personality and health. In particular, her seminal work on the Hawaii Longitudinal Study of Personality and Health has made, and will continue to make, valuable contributions to understanding individual differences in health outcomes. In addition, Sarah made major contributions to ORI through her service as Science Coordinator and membership on the Board and multiple committees and task forces. She brought steady vision, clarity of purpose, and wisdom to her research and to her service at ORI. We are grateful to Sarah for her many contributions, and we wish her much happiness and health in her retirement as she pursues activities that she enjoys: reading, writing, travel, and master gardening.
