Janet Brody is an ORI Research Scientist, a licensed clinical psychologist in New Mexico and Co-investigator of three NIDA funded clinical trials evaluating behavioral treatments for adolescent substance-use and depressive disorders. Dr. Brody recently completed as Principal Investigator for two NIH-funded grants (original and competing continuation) investigating ethical issues and family decision-making related to the participation of children and adolescents in pediatric asthma research (R01HL064677). She has also been co-investigator of an NIH-funded study examining vulnerability in informed consent for clinical trial participation of individuals with chronic and terminal illnesses. Since 1998, Dr. Brody has been the Clinical Director of ORI’s Center for Family and Adolescent Research (CFAR) in Albuquerque, providing oversight and direction of clinical interventions.
